I was kindly invited by the lovely lot at Voice Communications to attend the launch event for the new Intu App which was held at Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre. We were greeted with possibly the nicest prosecco I’ve ever had and got to speak to the marketing team and general manager, Mark to learn about the app and its features. One of my favourite things is the fact that as you walk past a store, the app will alert you if there are any sales or offers on, how cool?!
After having a chat with the lovely people of Intu Lakeside and catching up with Sophie and Stacey, we then began a scavenger hunt around the centre. Using the app to navigate ourselves from store to store, we travelled around to lots of different shops to try out some products. We began by going to Hotel Chocolat where we were met with some peppermint tea and a taste test game where we had to guess what flavour the chocolate was (side note: 100% raw cocoa is not the best haha). While we had some time to look around, I went over to their Valentines range to see what I can treat myself too haha!
We then headed to Patisserie Valerie; somewhere that I have never been to but have heard so many good things about. We were lucky enough to pick a piece of cake to take away but since I was full of chocolate, I opted for a bag of Macarons and they were amazing, especially the coffee one, ah heaven.
Moving onto my favourite shop, Lush! We were able to pick a section that we wanted to try out so we all opted for their skin care. I love Lush’s skin care and could not wait to learn more about what would work for my skin. My favourite thing that we got to try was the Ocean Salt face exfoliator which is now a major part of my skin care routine, it smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling so clean and soft.
After Lush, we headed to Love Aroma which sells Yankee Candles. Honestly, I spent the whole time in here stopping myself from buying them all especially the ‘Peonies’ scented one. We then rounded the night off with a trip to Hamley’s where we all turned into big kids watching magic pens, playing with frisbees and meeting the Hamley’s bear himself.
