A few weeks back I received a very exciting message on Instagram inviting me down to the relaunch of the King’s Head pub in Billericay.
The King’s Head is part of the Vintage Inn’s chain but they are one of the few select pubs to go through a makeover to give them a slighty different feel to the rest and a bit of a step up while still keeping the cosy, family vibe that they are known for.
I’ve never been to the pub before so I wasn’t really sure what to expect but me and my mum headed down to see what work had been done and we were excited.
We were met with prosecco and informed that the night would showcase some of the updated menu, new cocktails and wines all while a DJ and sax man played – sounds like my kinda night. Sadly I was driving so the cocktails were off limits to me but the menu was very impressive and from what I saw, they looked amazing! There was also a Roku gin station so mum got a gin and ginger ale and it was so refreshing; definitely a drink for the summer.
The lovely waiters brought round canapes of a few options from the menu and I can honestly say there wasn’t anything that wasn’t delicious, I left so full and content! The whole atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed which I know is what they are aiming for and I felt so happy to be there celebrating with everyone. I’ve been to a few Vintage Inn’s before and I am so excited to go back to this one and experience it all again.
Thank you to SpottyDog Communications and The King’s Head for inviting me down to celebrate with you.
