Must Have Perfumes

I’ve been told that I have this talent for smelling someone’s perfume and knowing exactly what it is and it got me thinking about my favourite perfumes because there are a lot.

Alien – Thierry Mugler

This is such a classic smell! I think I have been wearing this for a few years and I’m pretty sure it will always be in my collection. It lasts so well but I sometimes like to top up with the Superdrug Blossom spray which smells exactly the same but for a smaller price range of about £4 ( that’s a secret between us)

Tiffany – Tiffany and Co

I am a huge Tiffany fan so was incredibly excited when they bought out a fragrance. Aside from it looking so pretty on my vanity in it’s blue box, it smells divine. It’s very light and floral which makes it the perfect daytime scent.

Daisy – Marc Jacobs

Just like alien, this will always be a staple scent for me and one that I have been wearing for years. I first bought it when I went to New York back in 2011 so it does hold a special place in my heart as a reminder of my favourite city. It’s like and fresh so great for the days but this is a good transition fragrance for the evenings too.

Si – Giorgio Armani

This one is the perfect evening smell as its so strong. It’s still floral but there are some muskier notes too it. A little definitely goes a long way with this one and you very rarely find you need to top yourself up with it

What are your favourite fragrances?

Lisbon Style Diary

I can’ believe that I’ve been back from Lisbon for over a week already but it’s okay because I am not quite done with sharing highlights from the trip. So here is a style diary of what I wore each day.

Day 1/5 – As these were travelling days, I opted for the same pink trousers, black top and converse. Comfort was so key!

Tenerife Style Diary

Ciáo!

Okay, wrong language but let’s roll with it. I recently went away for a week to Tenerife with my friends and wanted to share some of my evening outfits; I love these posts so let’s hope I can do this one justice too. I didn’t take outfit photos everyday so let’s start from day 2.

Most of the evenings were pretty much the same of exploring Playas las America’s and trying out the best deals from each bar. It would get a little repetitive if I went into detail about each one so let’s get straight into the outfits.

Usually my wardrobe consists of black clothing so on holiday, I like to make sure I go for pieces that are a lot more colourful and this year I definitely went over the top with Yellow but it’s summer so why not. Now it’s October, I have gone back to me dark ways haha!

I am so sad to be back – I know, I say this every time I write a blog post about a trip but honestly, this week was the best; none stop laughing with some of my best friends. Oh, and not to mention the sunsets!

Orthosole Insoles

I haven’t been blessed with good balance and often find myself clumsily stumbling over literally nothing and hurting myself and a couple of years ago, I did just that. (I’m sure if you ask my sister, she will happily tell you this story with a tear of laughter rolling down her cheek) I was walking through a car park when I tried to get onto the curb but my foot slipped, I fell and subsequently ending up tearing a few of the ligaments in my foot which still causes me a bit of trouble to this day. I find that if I sit cross legged for more than 5 minutes it starts to get tender and if I drive for too long it gets really sore.

A few weeks ago I attended an event hosted by the South East Bloggers Club where I met the lovely people from OrthoSole, the customisable insole which has ‘multiple support options for your optimal comfort, fit, and performance.’ The insoles themselves come in various sizes and are accompanied with a bag of cushions with different levels of support ranging from ‘light, medium and firm’ which you can change depending on the level of support that you need. The cushions attach to the insoles by velcro so they can easily and quickly be changed depending on your requirement.

OrthoSole insoles can aid many health issues including:

– Knee Pain
– Back Pain
– Foot Pain
– Ankle Pain
– Heel Pain
– Arch Pain (Plantar Fasciitis)
– Hip Pain
– Shin Splints
– Circulation
– Posture

After kindly being gifted a set of the ‘Thin Style’ insoles at the event, I have been testing them out to make sure I got as much feedback as possible. I have been wearing them in my converse and trainers and I have definitely noticed a difference. My posture seems to have improved and my foot doesn’t seem to get as sore as quickly, which is the most amazing feeling. I love that I can change the level of support especially when I know I will be wearing the insoles for the whole day as the firm cushions can become a bit too much, so I usually swap them to a light cushion so it’s not so intense but I can still be sure I am getting some benefits.

I love OrthoSole and honestly wonder why it took me so long to give something like this a go. Thank you OrthoSole for gifting me with a pair of insoles, I love them!

Barcelona Style Diary

Barcelona Style Diary

Hola!

Over the New Year, I spent a week in Barcelona with some of my favourite people. I completely fell in love with the city; the beach, the food, the weather, the little-cobbled side streets and of course the sangria!

Obviously being December/January time, I prepared myself for cold, rainy days but was pleasantly surprised to be greeted every morning with blue skies and sun…I actually forgot what sun on my skin felt like. I spent every morning trying to strategically throw some outfits together and I’m here today to share those with you.

Day 1: For the most part; day 1 was spent travelling, doing a food shop for the apartment and having a walk around before dinner. I spent most of the day in jeans and a jumper, which was pretty boring but I did freshen up and change my outfit for the evening.

Lanzarote Style Diary

I had the best holiday to Lanzarote with my two best friends and one of the highlights was spending the evenings getting ready to go out for the night. Obviously, we couldn’t get dressed up without taking a few pictures on the balcony so here is my Lanzarote style diary.

Morlands’ Slippers

You know that film 13 going on 30? Well I’m 23 going on 80. I love nothing more than having chilled nights in with a good movie and my pyjamas; so when Morlands’ Glastonbury kindly offered to send me a pair of slippers I couldn’t resist.

img_8229

Morlands Glastonbury are a luxury footwear brand specialising in slippers and boots and offer such a wide range so there really is something for everyone. They take so much care with each product they produce and they carry on that care when dealing with customers; I guess thats why they have been around for over 150 years now.

img_8232

I chose the Merino slipper in a rose colour and honestly, they are the most comfortable things ever. I get so excited to come home from work and put them on and get all cosy (told you I’m like an old lady). They are so soft and fluffy and have a little gradual heel which I actually really like as you can hardly notice. I’ve gone through so many pairs of slippers but I know these are going to last me a very long time and they are going to keep their quality.
