Good Molecules’ Glycolic Exfoliating Toner Review

I have mentioned Good Molecules on here and my Instagram before so when this new product showed up at my door, I was thrilled. I don’t know what it is I love the most about them; their products and how amazing they leave my skin feeling or the great team behind the brand.

Toners have been a staple in my skincare routine for a while now and I will typically use one both morning and night to allow my skin to absorb any products I put on after and the new Glycolic Exfoliating Toner has been a fantastic addition. The toner is gentle enough to use both morning and evening and I will put a few drops on a cotton pad and move around my face in circular motions.

Immediately my skin feels cleaner, tighter and a lot softer. I always always follow up with a spot of moisturiser and particularly with this one as it is gentle exfoliating the skin so I don’t want to leave it too dry. I have definitely noticed that my skin looks a lot brighter and not as dull since I started using it a few weeks ago, which is something I am always looking for in skincare. I am just obsessed.

Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021

Eeeek, Happy New Year! First blog post of 2021 lets go! Now while 2020 was a complete shit show, it did have many positive moments and taught us to take life at a slower pace and really appreciate the little things which is something I want to continue into the new year, as I, like most of us, have a tendency to take things for granted. That got me thinking about all of the things I want to achieve/focus on in 2021; not necessarily resolutions but just what I want to aim for so here goes:

  • Learn Spanish – I love the language and have been learning it on/off for a while but I want to get as close to fluent as possible
  • To spend more time creating online content – My blog took a bit of a backseat in 2020 so that is definitely going to change but I also want to give more attention to my Youtube channel and Instagram. Creating content online makes me so happy so it is definitely the thing I want to give the most energy and time to this year (make sure you follow me so you don’t miss out ;))
  • Making this my year – I love making the people around me happy and giving them the most support but sometimes I forget to do that to myself so I want to make sure that I am making time for myself and what makes me happy without caring about what people think. Definitely something I should have been doing a long time ago but better late than never right
  • Exploring more of England and the UK – of course this relies massively on where we’re at with restrictions and lockdowns but moving to Staffordshire showed me that we are surrounded by some many beautiful places so I want to have more weekend adventures exploring as many as possible

What are you hoping to achieve in 2021?

Appreciating The Little Moments

The first few days of April weren’t my best, I hit a pretty bad place with my mental health but it made me think about my life and all the little moments that make everyday so special.

Every day has good and bad moments and I am the worst at sometimes focusing on the negative and getting myself into moods because of it. This is something I definitely need to work on because I spend so long feeling down that I blink and the day is over and I’ve lost.

I’ve seen people, especially on Twitter, create threads where they jot down exciting things they have been ding each day but what I love to do is film it. Since the start of January, I have been using the app 1SE to document literally 1 second everyday. The app is so great because it really makes you stop and take time out to record what you have done each day, even if you think it’s not that exciting. I love it because it puts it into a montage so at the end of every month, I post my little 30 second video to my Instagram so it is always there for me to go back to and I’ll do the same on the last day of the year so I can see exactly how 2019 has been.

As a photography graduate, I love recording moments through creative mediums like photos and videos so this is something I have really been enjoying and it helps me stay positive and focused, even on the darker days.

Feel free to head over to my Instagram (@hannahmoggridge) to see what I have been getting up to over the last 4 months and keep an eye out for the next 8!

Blogmas Day 22| Walking In A Winter Wonderland

No winter in complete without at least 1 trip to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. This year me and Jack went and it was amazing as always, it was bigger and better than ever.

I never really go on the rides at Winter Wonderland but I love love walking around the market stalls looking at all the beautiful handmade goods all while cupping a delicious mulled wine – the most perfect winter feeling. Also, please don’t get me started on all the amazing food from bratwurst to crepes, I gain about a stone in weight just thinking about it.

It was so lovely to walk around with my favourite person singing all the Christmas songs and really getting into the festive spirit and I am actually a little bit gutted that we only did it once this year.

Have you been to Winter Wonderland?

Blogmas Day 21| Favourite Decorations

I can’t believe how close we are to the end of Blogmas and I am so proud I have managed to stick with it for this long. For today I wanted to share with you some of my favourite decorations that e have on the tree. We decorate our tree a little differently as none of our decorations fit in with a theme, they are all things we have collected over the years. I love that though because our tree has so much sentimental value to it, it’s so special.

Here are a few of my favourites:

Blogmas Day 16| Stress Free Shopping

I love Christmas, more than most; but it is so easy to get stressed out with the thought of buying the perfect presets for everyone and the thought of getting out to buy said presents.

brooke-lark-609899-unsplash.jpg

Shopping centres and high streets get absolutely swamped with people and it becomes a battle to get through the crowds which really isn’t enjoyable for anyone. Usually, I try to buy things online for people so that I can easily and quickly get them delivered to home without the hassle of queues and crowds or literally having to go outside. For this, Amazon is always my ‘go-to’ place because; I mean, is there anything they don’t sell? They’re also great because if you know exactly what you want to get, you can find it so easily without having to rummage through any shelves/racks.

If I decide that I do want to go out and search in the shops, I usually do it on weeknights because that’s when I find the crowds are at their lowest. I mean shopping on a Saturday is usually a no go but to do it on top of Christmas is a nightmare so always do it in the evenings. I also love it because I can stop off and have a nice hot chocolate to keep my going.

How do you keep your Christmas shopping stress free?

Blogmas Day 12| Favourite Christmas Films

Is there any better feeling than having a cosy day indoor with blankets, a hot chocolate and a few Christmas film? Yeah I didn’t think so either. I love a Christmas movie and if it was acceptable, I would probably watch them all throughout the year. Some of my favourite festive films are:

1. Elf
I mean, isn’t this everyone’s favourite film? I’m such a big Will Ferrell fan anyway and I think this is definitely in my top 5 films with him in it too. I don’t know what it is but I would sit and watch this over and over again and never get bored. I was gutted that I didn’t get tickets to see in in London, hopefully they bring it back so I can drag Jack along with me.

2. Love Actually
A British classic that follows the lives of different families at Christmas time. I can’t even begin to count how many times I have seen this film but I love it the same each time, the cast and story lines are just so great.

3. The Holiday
Another absolute classic that I could happily watch all year around. Again the cast in this film is fantastic; I mean who wouldn’t love to have Jude Law knocking on the door of your little cottage looking to stay the night in front of a fire. Perfect!

4. The Grinch
Mine and my dad’s favourite Christmas film. Again, I am such a huge Jim Carrey fan and definitely think this is one of his best ones. It’s so funny and even though I can quote it word for word it doesn’t stop me watching it at least 50 times.

5. Home Alone
I think I started watching this back in September because I love it that much, little Macaulay Culkin is the cutest.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?

Blogmas Day 1| Welcome to Blogmas

Happy December!

blogmas 2018

But seriously, can someone explain to me how it is December already; I’m sure it was only July last week. Anyway December is one of my favourite months because CHRISTMAS! I am such a huge Christmas fan and this year to really keep with the Christmas spirit, I have decided to take part in Blogmas. This is something I have been wanted to do for ages but never got round to it because honestly; I didn’t think I could commit to it (I mean, I’m still not convinced I am going to blog every day)

For those of you who may be reading this thinking ‘What the hell is blogmas’ well allow me to explain. Blogmas is where bloggers share a new post, ususally festive themed, everyday from 1st December to 24th December. I can’t promise I am going to succeed at this but I am going to give it a good go. Expect to see gift guide, winter make up and skin care routines and festive fun days out. Here goes!!

Are you doing Blogmas this year?

Women Empowering Women

I am such a strong advocate for women supporting other women, especially when it comes to blogging, infact one of my favourite sayings is ‘throw kindness around like confetti’; so I was absolutely thrilled when Karen from The Mommy Lady tagged me to do this.

dubois-quote-about-empowering-women

1. What does women empowerment mean to you?
Women empowerment to me is all about supporting people with their achievements, not comparing yourself to others and being a supporter for everyone.

2. What woman/women do you admire the most? Why?
I was going to choose a celebrity for this but I actually chose to make it personal and say my mum. She is always so supportive of everything I do and she is my best friend.

3. Share a story, drawing or video that you think say “empowered women”

31-strong-women-empowerment-quotes-with-images

4. Share with us the best lesson you’ve learned in leadership.
I am a strong believer in the saying ‘lead by example’. You need to treat people the way you would like to be treated.

5.What cause do you most want to bring awareness to? Why? What does it mean to you?
Breast Cancer awareness is so important because it affects so many people and is the most common form of cancer in women. It is always so important to raise awareness so that we can help put a stop to cancer.

Thank you so much to Karen for tagging me. I now tag; Finlay, Lauren and Rachel, Rosie, Lauren and Chloe
