I recently went to an event at one of my local Lush stores and they kindly gave us a bag of goodies and inside was a sample of the face mask ‘Cup O’ Coffee’. We got to try it on our hands at the event so I was so excited to try it on my face.
The minute you open the pot, it’s like someone has just brewed a batch of coffee. It’s quite a strong smell but, if like me, you like coffee, its actually quite a nice smell. The mask itself actually has coffee beans in it, which are great for exfoliating the face.
The best thing about it smelling so strong is that you can feel it waking you and your skin up and it definitely does that! They recommend on their website to leave of your 15-20 minutes but I left mine on for about 30 and tbh, I could have left it on for even longer, purely because of the smell haha. I rinsed it off with warm water and oh my goodness, my face felt so smooth and soft and my skin immediately looked better. Luckily, I only used about half the pot, so I have some left for another one but I’m now desperate to go into a store a buy a big pot.
Travelling, apart from photography, is my favourite thing to do. I don’t like being in the same spot for too long and I love exploring new places. Tomorrow, I am off to Spain to stay with my best friends/second family that moved out there about 12 years ago (even writing that has got me so excited) so I thought I would share my hand luggage essentials.
1. Digital Camera
I love using my iPhone for taking pictures and sharing them straight away via social media but for me, no trip is complete without a camera of some sort and having a little compact one is perfect for capturing all the memories without weighing down your bag.
2. Emoji Disposable Camera
I love using disposable cameras because the images always look old fashioned and vintage and this camera does that and more! I picked this up in the urban outfitters sale for £4, I know crazy! It has emojis already scratched into the negatives so when you get it developed the emojis are part of the picture. pretty cool right?
I was kindly invited by my local Lush store to come and try out some of the new Oxford Street products as they are now launching them into their smaller shops. Seeing as this was my first ever blogger event, I was a little bit worried as I didn’t know what to expect but seeing as it was Lush, I couldn’t say no!
When we arrived, they talked us through everything and the products we would be looking at, which was everything from bath bombs to foot creams. They began with bath bombs and bubbles bars, my personal favourite. As they were talking about each one, they passed them around so we could all have a smell before they plopped them in a bowl of water so we could watch them fizz and change the water colour. The three that we got to try out were Frozen, Yoga and Intergalactic, which is now my new favourite.
Frozen Bath Bomb
Intergalactic Bath Bomb
Yoga Bath Bomb
My favourite thing was learning all about the ingredients that go into each product and what it can do for your skin. The shower gels are full of natural goodies so they are super nourishing and smell absolutely amazing. We got to look at Beautiful, The Comforter and Yuzu and Cocoa which are all so nice.
Brighton is one of my favourites places ever so when my best friend Zoe suggested a trip down there, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. Obviously, the minute we got there, we headed straight for the sea front to grab some fish and chips and have a walk down the pier.
I love walking down Brighton pier; I find it so calming and relaxing, just listening to the waves and looking out to sea. Also, the rides at the end and arcade in the middle make it so fun and are a ‘must do’ thing.
My favourite part of any trip to Brighton, is walking down the Laines. There’s just something about quaint little streets that house independent shops and boutiques that I find so lovely and tranquil. Most of the Laines were covered in bunting that went from one side of the road to another and was a combination of pink, blue and yellow, super summery.
After we did some shopping, we took a walk down to the coast to get an ice cream and sit on the beach before grabbing some dinner and heading home. It was so hot, it was honestly like being on holiday, I’m not even joking, I’ve still got the tan lines from my shoes haha. Being in Brighton makes me so happy, I already can’t wait to go back!
I’m the biggest bubble bath fan and Lush is definitely my favourite shop ever, seriously, I could live in there. So I thought I would share some of my favourite bath products.
I don’t know what it is about this bath bomb but I love it, I think it’s because to me, it smells a little bit like coffee. It’s such a pretty pink colour but inside, theres a smaller blue bath bomb so when this hits the water, it produces the most amazing colours. I love it!
Think Pink was a bath bomb that I had always seen but never really picked it up so I decided to finally give it ago, I mean look at it, it’s so pretty. When you pop this in your bath, the water goes a beautiful shade of pink, (my favourite colour) and when its all fizzed, these tiny little pink paper hearts are left at the bottom of the bath tub and its so pretty. I’m so glad I finally picked this one up and it’s definitely one of my favourites.
Pop In The Bath
Bubble bars are probably my favourite Lush products because they make the water so bubbly and soft and they also change the colour. Pop In The Bath is probably the one I use the most; it smells incredible and it creates the biggest bubbles so its a win win.
I really wish this picture would do this bubble bar justice, but it really doesn’t. Rose Jam is the prettiest thing I have seen and honestly, I wish you could smell it, it’s insanely good! This is one that’s new to me, I’ve never been too bothered by it, but now I’m obsessed with it.
That’s just a few of my favourites, to be honest, I could sit here all day everyday writing about Lush and how much I love them but I would be here forever haha.
Seeing as it is the end of the month, I thought I would share what products I have been loving throughout July.
As most of you probably know, Zoella released a new summer range to her beauty line so obviously, I had to go and check it out. I picked up the body scrub, body lotion and the body mist and ever since I bought them, I have been obsessed. I don’t know if it’s the fresh, fruity smell or the actual quality of the products but they are perfect for summer. The scrub and lotion make the perfect combination and leave your skin feeling so soft and smelling insane.
Garnier Micellar Water
This god send has been a favourite of mine for well over a year now. If you’re like me and you hate taking your make up off at the end of the day, then this is the product for you. Just a small amount of this on a cotton pad removes all your make up (including mascara) and leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh and it is great for sensitive skin.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation
I struggle so much when it comes to foundation, they either make my face look shiny, or they are so matte that my make up looks cakey. I’m also always the lightest shade so I found it so difficult to find a foundation that actually matches me perfectly. This Rimmel Foundation is one of my favourites, the colour is perfect (I use 010 Light Porcelain, which is surprise surprise, the lightest shade) and it sits on my skin really well, it also has SPF 20 in it, which is great.
KIKO Colour Sphere
I always used to be against wearing eye shadow, but recently I have been finding myself wearing it more and more. My favourite shades are gold, bronzey ones because they really work well with blue eyes and I feel that they warm up my face a little bit. I have absolutely been loving this colour sphere by KIKO; I have the shade 03, which is just a really nice goldy shimmer and I love it, its perfect for summer.
So thats some of the things that I have been loving this month!
Near where I live, there is an antique fair which is full of little stalls and buildings selling all kinds of trinkets, furniture and other nik naks. I took a trip down there with my mum, aunt and sister to see if there were any goodies we could find. There was a wide range of little, quaint shops that were selling all kinds of old antiques from jewellery, tea sets and furniture. I love looking at old items and thinking about the stories that come with them, most of the items are full of history and it always makes me think about the things we use today and whether or not they will be classed as antiques in the future. We began our day by looking around the garden section at outdoor furniture and plants which were surrounding a beautiful pond.
