Must Have Perfumes

I’ve been told that I have this talent for smelling someone’s perfume and knowing exactly what it is and it got me thinking about my favourite perfumes because there are a lot.

Alien – Thierry Mugler

This is such a classic smell! I think I have been wearing this for a few years and I’m pretty sure it will always be in my collection. It lasts so well but I sometimes like to top up with the Superdrug Blossom spray which smells exactly the same but for a smaller price range of about £4 ( that’s a secret between us)

Tiffany – Tiffany and Co

I am a huge Tiffany fan so was incredibly excited when they bought out a fragrance. Aside from it looking so pretty on my vanity in it’s blue box, it smells divine. It’s very light and floral which makes it the perfect daytime scent.

Daisy – Marc Jacobs

Just like alien, this will always be a staple scent for me and one that I have been wearing for years. I first bought it when I went to New York back in 2011 so it does hold a special place in my heart as a reminder of my favourite city. It’s like and fresh so great for the days but this is a good transition fragrance for the evenings too.

Si – Giorgio Armani

This one is the perfect evening smell as its so strong. It’s still floral but there are some muskier notes too it. A little definitely goes a long way with this one and you very rarely find you need to top yourself up with it

What are your favourite fragrances?

Lush 9-5 Cleanser

IMG_6278

Apart from the Liz Earle cleanse and polish, I haven’t found a cleaner that I love and works well for my skin, well until now.

My sister works for Lush and she recommended the 9-5 cleanser, which I had heard a bit about but had never tried. After using it for about a month now, I am officially obsessed. It’s so gentle on the skin which means that you can use it both day and night and it doesn’t leave your face feeling irritated. Sometimes I find that cleaners leave my face feeling quite tight and dry, but this leaves my skin feeling so soft and feeling amazing.

You need to tiniest bit and you can really feel is cleaning out all of your pores and the slight fragrance leaves your face smelling beautiful. I normally use the cleanser both in the morning and the evening and I follow up with a Lush toner and my moisturiser and my skin always feels so nice.

Have you used a Lush cleanser, what one if your favourite?

4YouByYou – ‘For Students By Students’

Screen Shot 2016-02-15 at 18.54.03

Everyone knows students have it tough and many of us adopt the ‘student lifestyle’ of all nighters writing dissertations, and struggling to manage money; meaning we have to miss out on certain things; but not anymore!

4YouByYou is a website founded by Scott Mears, that sell well established beauty products for both guys and girls at student prices. Personally, I think this is fantastic because I often find myself watching videos or reading blog posts about products I’d love to try, but most of the time, they are out of budget. 4YouByYou live by the phrase ‘For Students By Students‘ and they do this by working with Student Unions and offering Uni Discount Codes on their website.

As well as selling some amazing products from mascaras to moisturisers from brands like Instant Effects and Cult51; they also offer tips and tricks on serving freshers flu, making the most of uni and getting a job post degree. This is great because it reinforces their ethos of being all about students and their goal to create life long relationships with students.

4YouByYou have also given me a special 20% off code for my lovely readers so head over to 4YouByYous’s Website and pick up some goodies for yourself. Don’t forget to enter  HMblogs to get your 20% off!

Derma V10 Make Off Mitt

I love the feeling of taking my make up off after a long day; however, some times I really can’t be bothered to spend a lot of time removing it all. When DermaV10 kindly sent me their ‘Make Off Mitt‘ I was so excited to try it out because I’m always looking for ways to cut down my skincare routine.

I’ve never used a mitt to remove make up before so I didn’t really know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised with the results. The mitt is made up of microfibre material, which, when dampened removes all make up including mascara without the use of cleansers and soaps.

I really felt that all of my make up had come off and my skin felt really clean without being irritated. Once I had finished, I washed the mitt in hot, soapy water and left it to dry so that I can use it again and again. As well as the great results, I couldn’t believe the price. The Make Off Mitt retails for only £1 at Bodycare and other discount retailers.

Have you ever used a mitt to remove your make up? If not, then I definitely recommend picking one up because they are so easy to use and they are great if you don’t want to put a lot of product on your face. Thank you again to DermaV10 for sending me the mitt to try.
