Mid Month Favourites

I haven’t done a favourites post in such a long time and there are a few products I have been loving so I thought I would switch it up and show you a few of the in a mid months post.

  1. Radiance Perfection Vitamin C Serum – IK have lost count the amount of times this has featured on here and Instagram but it’s just that good. I feel like it keeps my skin looking healthy and really sits well under my foundation which amazing. A little bit goes such a long way so I know the bottle that I have is going to last a long time

2. No. 7 Stay Perfect Foundation – I have been obsessed with this foundation for years now but haven’t really shared my love for it in a long time. It’s the one foundation I always go back to because the colour is perfect on me and it lasts all day. It also looks so good in photos which is something that I always look for too.

3. Freedom Bro Duo Powder – I much prefer using a powder to fill in my brows because I always think that looks the most natural and the one I have been loving the most is by Freedom. You get 2 powders in each compact and the ones I use and alternate between are Auburn and Medium Brown (this one) and they are great; my brows look so good throughout the day.

4. Red Cherry Lashes * – Don’t really wear false lashes too much unless I am going out out but I have been loving these natural everyday lashes from Red Cherry. These were kindly gifted to me and I am so glad they were because they are great for completing the perfect spring time look. The go on so easily, especially with the help of the  special applicator. Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar Water

It’s now officially Spring, which means lots of TLC for our skin after those cold, Winter months. Lets be honest girls, as much as we’d all love to have a perfect skin care routine, it just doesn’t always happen but I think I have found the perfect solution. For a while now, micellar waters have been sweeping the world and have been most peoples ‘go to’ products and I am no exception and I’m sure some of you are the same. I have tried quite a few including the holy grail, Bioderma but the brand that I always go back to is Garnier.

There are so many different variations of the Micellar water, so there is literally one for every skin type but the new one is my current obsession. If you’re like me and suffer from dry skin, then listen up because this is just for you. Garnier have just released the new oil infused micellar water which is specifically targeted for dry, sensitive skin. At first, I didn’t know what to expect because normally when products are designed for dry skin, I personally find that they can be quite heavy and some even start to break me out but honestly, this could not be any further from that.

The product itself has two layers; the oil and the water so after a little shake it is ready to use. Once the water hits your face, you can feel it working away and breaking down all the make up; even eye liner and mascara! It leaves your face feeling so soft and clean as well as smelling amazing. Even though it only takes a couple of minutes, I always feel like my makeup has completely come off and that my skin is clean and ready for toning and moisturising but with that being said, I have just used the water and nothing else, and my skin still felt great; which is even better if you’re super lazy like me.

Have you ever used a micellar water, what are your thoughts on them and do you have a favourite?

Mens Shave Balm or a Primer?

I always struggle to keep my makeup looking nice all day; normally by lunch time, its either rubbed off or started going patchy. Usually, I always use a primer but I find that finding the right one can be a bit of a nightmare.

While shopping with a friend, she told me that I had to try out the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm because it works as an amazing primer. Now I’m very funny when it comes to make up and usually the products that everyone raves about don’t work for me, but I trusted her and bought one.

The next morning I was so excited to try it out but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting it to work. I carried out my normal skin care routine and once my moisturiser had sunk in, I was ready to try the shave balm. Initially, obviously because its for me, there is a manly smell but this goes away when your foundation is applied; although it is so subtle and actually smells really nice.

The product itself is quite milky and a little bit goes a long way. It doesn’t feel oily on the skin and leaves your face feeling really soft and nourished. I then applied my make up as normal and used a setting spray. Initially, my make up did look a lot better than it normally does, but I didn’t know if it was me trying to force myself to love it like everyone else does. Every time I got to a mirror, I was checking to see how my make up looked and it stayed in place all day! All the usual areas that would have rubbed off or started looking cracked and cakey didn’t.

I had no idea that it was going to work so well but I was pleasantly surprised. I am now obsessed like most people that have tried it and every morning I really look forward to putting my make up on.

Have you tried the Nivea Shave Balm before? What did you think of it?
